Titanium

Titanium is a transition metal. Its symbol is Ti and its atomic number is 22. It has a silver color.

Titanium was discovered in 1791 in England and was named after the Titans, who are very large god-like men from Greek mythology, and who are known as the sons of Gaia.

Titanium looks very much like iron. Compared to iron, titanium is stronger, and its weight is only half. Strong acids, strong bases and even aqua regia do not affect it.

Uses

When compounded with carbon and nitrogen titanium forms a heat resistant substance used in the manufacture of blades.

Yellow nitrogen compounds of titanium are used decoratively.

Titanium oxide white is a pigment used in the manufacture of paints, inks, plastics and paper.

Pure titanium is used in the manufacture of airplanes ,tanks, warships, submarines, guided missiles and outer space vehicles. It is an indispensable metal.

- (＋)支持，圍牆金屬？英文版的連結是Copper interconnect，意思是銅線互連或銅導線，這裏的意思可能是鈦化氮能夠代替銅作為導線金屬吧。另外航空那一段沒必要寫那麼多飛機，列舉有代表性的2、3個就夠了。藍色的頂夸克-對撞機·氣泡室- 2010年12月23日 (四) 06:13 (UTC)[回覆]
