玫瑰花精
《玫瑰花精》（英语：The Rose Elf ），或译为《玫瑰花的精灵》，是丹麦著名童话作家安徒生所写的一篇童话故事，发表于1839月。主要讲了一个栖息于玫瑰花里的小精灵见证一对年轻恋人的爱情、女子的兄长迫害年轻恋人，为了替年轻恋人讨回公道策划复仇的故事[1]。它于2018年6月6日在纽约市布鲁克林的格林伍德公墓地下墓穴首映，由 RB Schlather 执导并由 Teddy Poll 执导。[1]歌剧的首张录音由 Meyer Media LLC (MM20044) 于2020年10月31日发行[2]。
在首映式中，《观察家报》写道，“几乎是你想要的歌剧的一切。玫瑰花精震惊、困惑、不安，最终，被崇高。”[3]首映后，WQXR将其命名为“半年歌剧盛事”，称“赫茨伯格是一位精湛的剧作家……这标志着一位主要作曲人物的到来。”[4]歌剧新闻称这部作品是“对歌剧经典的一个引人注目和受欢迎的补充”。[5]随后被评为“2018年纽约最难忘的音乐会”，[6]并获得歌剧院的“弗雷迪”最佳新歌剧奖[7]。
