It was previously called Prva Hrvatska nogometna liga (First Croatian Football League), but a league structure reorganization from 2022–23 led to name changes for the three top league levels.
自2022–23
First Croatian Football League (克羅地亞足球甲級聯賽)→Croatian Football League (克羅地亞足球聯賽)
Second football league (克羅地亞足球乙級聯賽)→First football league (克羅地亞足球甲級聯賽)
Third Football League→Second football league
