安妮·萊爾

《安妮·萊爾》（英語：Annie Lisle）是一首由美國馬薩諸塞州波士頓作曲家亨利·S·湯普森於1857年創作的民謠，此旋律隨後被世界上許多中學及大學選為校歌。

校歌

1906年出版的《遠在卡尤嘉湖之上》歌譜

最早使用這一旋律作為校歌的是康奈爾大學。1870年，兩位學生阿奇博爾德·威克斯和威爾莫特·史密斯利用《安妮·萊爾》的旋律創作了《遠在卡尤加湖之上》（Far Above Cayuga's Waters）並成為了康奈爾大學的校歌。受康奈爾大學影響，其他的一些學校亦採用這一旋律作為校歌，至今統計有127所以上的學校採用這一旋律。

同樣採用這一旋律作為校歌的美國學校有密歇根州立大學、密蘇里大學、印第安納大學、北卡羅來納大學教堂山分校、威廉瑪麗學院、科羅拉多州立大學等。

亞洲地區亦有一些學校採用該旋律作為校歌，例如燕京大學、齊魯大學、東吳大學、金陵大學、大夏大學、嶺南大學、香港中文大學崇基學院、中華基督教會燕京書院、金陵中學、新加坡華僑中學、鍾靈獨立中學等。

原作

亨利·S·湯普森原作的內容為一位去世的少女，雖然歌詞中未直接提到死因，但推測這位少女死於肺結核。
