GPL連結例外

GPL連結例外修改了GNU 通用公眾特許條款，使提供函式庫代碼的軟件項目能夠連結到使用它們的程序，而無需將 GPL 的全部條款應用於使用程序。自由軟件基金會聲明，如果不對庫使用GPL 連結例外，連結到 GPL 庫程序只能在與 GPL 兼容的特許下分發。^[1]這尚未在法庭上得到明確的解釋，但GPL 連結侵權均以和解結束。^[2]GNU Classpath項目的特許條款明確地包含了這樣的聲明。
