靛藍彩鵐（Passerina cyanea）是屬於主紅雀科的一種小型食籽鳥，身長11.5—13 cm（4.5—5.1英寸），靛藍彩鵐的雄性和雌性顏色有所不同，夏天雄性羽毛為藍色，冬季為棕色，雌性則一直為棕色，所以該物種在顏色方面屬於兩性異形。雌性負責築巢和孵化。靛藍彩鵐在夏季食物主要是昆蟲，冬季的食物主要是種子。它也是一種候鳥，它們在繁殖季節會從加拿大南部前往佛羅里達州北部繁殖，冬季又會從佛羅里達州南部飛到南美洲北部[2]。它經常在夜間遷徙並利用星星來導航[3]。它的棲息地是農田、灌木叢和開闊的林地[4]。
