印度大樓（India Buildings）是英國利物浦的一個商業建築，其主要入口在水街。主要是辦公樓，它還包含一個內部購物廊和一個地鐵站的入口。它建於1924年和1932年之間，在1941年被炸彈損壞，後來在其原始建築師的監督下恢復到原來的狀態。該建築，其設計受意大利文藝復興影響，結合了美國布雜藝術的特徵，占據整個街區。

印度大樓建於1924年-1932年。1923年由Arnold Thornely和Herbert James Rowse贏得設計競賽。該建築的成本是125萬英鎊。原來的租戶主要是阿爾弗雷德·霍爾特的藍煙囪輪船公司，其他還包括勞埃德銀行、郵局、商業和保險公司、律師事務所和政府辦公樓。^[1] 印度大樓在1941年被轟炸嚴重損壞，後來經修復，恢復原貌。^[2]。

2009年，印度大樓被賣給一家名為Green Property的愛爾蘭公司，它仍然擁有它在2013年1月，前業主因欺詐被判入獄。

建築[編輯]

該建築物占據整個街區，周圍被水街、不倫瑞克街、分界街和德魯里巷包圍。樓高九層，波特蘭石貼面。主入口在水街，設計靈感來自佛羅倫薩斯特羅齊宮。所有的外部雕塑是由愛德華·湯普森設計。^[3]

在內部，一個購物廊穿過大樓的中心，所有樓層設有辦公室。水街和不倫瑞克街的入口通向門廳。每個門廳在天花板上有三個彩繪碟形穹頂，由愛奧尼亞式大理石柱支撐。

評價[編輯]

印度大樓於1975年3月14日被列為II級登錄建築。^[1]2013年11月5日升級至II*級。^[1]^[4]^[a] 其建築風格受到意大利文藝復興和美國布雜藝術運動的影響。
