黄室弄蝶属（学名：Potanthus，英文俗名：Dart）是弄蝶亚科黄弄蝶族里的一个属。共有32个物种，广泛分布于东洋界之中国至新畿内亚[1]。种类繁多，鉴定困难，雄蝶之鉴定主要依靠交尾器突（Uncus（英语：Lepidoptera genitalia））末端构造，抱器形态亦有帮助，雌蝶则至今缺乏可靠的鉴定方法[2]。

成蝶翅面上有黄色斑纹。大多数种类雄蝶前翅有性标，一般细长而通常位于1A+2A脉上，也有位于中央斑带内侧而呈弧形的种类。幼虫的寄主主要为禾本科植物[3]。

广泛分布于东洋界，在中国记录了21种[3]；台湾5种[2]；香港4种[4]。

形态[编辑]

小型蝴蝶。翅膀黑褐色，有黄色斑。前翅除有黄色的亚中域斑带外，中室外缘也有黄色斑，两者分开；后翅除亚缘斑带外，中室端也有黄色斑。前翅阔，中室长，上端角钩状尖出，Cu2脉接近中室末端。后翅后缘长于前缘，中室等于翅长1/2，M2脉不明显，2A脉比Sc+R1脉长。触角等于前翅长1/2，端突钩状。雄蝶前翅正面有性标，接近2A脉。[3][2]

雄外生殖器背兜发达，钩形突与背兜愈合，颚形突不发达，囊形突细长。抱器瓣略呈长方形，抱器端上缘有半圆形凹入，凹下有较长突起，稍弯曲，顶端稍钝或尖锐。阳茎中等长。[3]

形态类似分类有黄弄蝶属（Taractrocera）与偶侣弄蝶属（Oriens）。此属与前者的区别在于触角棒部端突钩状；与偶侣弄蝶属区别在于前翅正面亚缘斑带远离中室斑。[3]

成蝶飞行快速、活泼。栖息于草原、森林边缘、溪流附近等生境。爱访花。[2]幼虫的寄主皆为单子叶植物，包括[3]：

黄室弄蝶属是黄弄蝶族里的一个属。丫纹弄蝶属（Ocybadistes）是此属的姊妹群，隼弄蝶属（Suniana）是她们俩的共同演化支的姐妹群。更远的亲缘关系仍有待研究。[5][6]
