2009年，蒙塔斯加盟红袜。他在红袜最高层级上到1A。[1]

芝加哥白袜[编辑]

2013年交易大限前，红袜、白袜和老虎进行三方交易。红袜得到杰克·皮维与Brayan Villarreal，白袜得到阿法萨耶尔·贾西亚、蒙塔斯、J. B. Wendelken和Cleuluis Rondon，老虎得到荷西·伊格莱西亚斯。[2]

2015年12月16日，红人、白袜和道奇进行三方交易。白袜将蒙塔斯、崔斯·汤普森和Micah Johnson交易到道奇，红人将陶德·弗雷泽交易到白袜，道奇将布兰登·迪克森、José Peraza和Scott Schebler交易到红人。[15]2016年2月12日，蒙塔斯因为进行肋骨切除手术将休息长达4个月。[16]他在5月22日才在道奇小联盟完成初登板，[17]最高层级上到3A，随后又因为受伤缺席2个月的比赛。[18]
