三音

在音乐理论中，我们称一个和弦的三音，是作为该和弦中间的那个音符。举例来说，拿E当三音的三和弦用的三个音会是C-E-G。基本上，和弦的名称便是以根音来命名的。因此，以E为三音的三和弦称作C和弦。三音时常跟音阶的中音混淆，后者是用来代表音阶的音符，而不是和弦的音符。[1]
