马克·亨利·吉腾斯坦（英语：Mark Henry Gitenstein，1947年3月7日—）是美国律师和外交官，现任美国驻欧洲联盟大使[1]，曾在2009年至2012年担任美国驻罗马尼亚大使[2][3]。

早年生活和教育[编辑]

吉滕斯坦拥有罗马尼亚犹太血统，祖父母是19 世纪自罗马尼亚博托沙尼移民[4][5][6]。吉滕斯坦读于印第安泉学校（英语：Indian Springs School）1964年毕业[7]。获得杜克大学文学士学位和乔治城法学院法律博士学位。

职业生涯[编辑]

吉滕斯坦曾担任美国参议院司法委员会首席法律顾问（1987-1989年）和少数族裔首席法律顾问（1981-1987年），在当时的参议员乔·拜登手下任职。吉滕斯坦也担任美国参议院情报特别委员会顾问（1975年-1978年）。[8]

1989年成为孖士打律师行合伙人，并担任布鲁金斯学会“非常驻高级研究员”[8][9] 。吉滕斯坦是《原则问题》书的作者，关于罗伯特·博克最高法院提名（英语：Robert Bork Supreme Court nomination）的非小说类书籍，因此获得美国律师协会的银木槌奖。多次被同行评选为“美国最佳律师”。[10]

驻罗马尼亚大使[编辑]

2009年吉滕斯坦被提名为美国驻罗马尼亚大使[11]。罗马尼亚英文新闻日报《九点钟》评选吉腾斯坦大使为“2011年度最佳外交官”。[12]吉滕斯坦致力于在各种议题上加强与罗马尼亚关系，重点在于打击腐败、提高透明度和加强法治[13][14][15]。2012年被授予罗马尼亚之星（英语：Order of the Star of Romania）。

2020年9月5日，吉滕斯坦被宣布成为拜登-哈里斯过渡团队顾问委员会成员。[16][17]

驻欧盟大使[编辑]

2021年7月27日，乔·拜登总统宣布提名吉滕斯坦担任美国驻欧洲联盟大使[18]。第二天，吉滕斯坦提名被送交参议院[19]。2021年9月28日，参议院外交关系委员会举行听证会[20]。2021年10月19日，委员会报告对吉滕斯坦的提名表示赞成[21]。美国参议院于2021年12月18日以口头表决方式确认。2022年1月24日吉滕斯坦向欧洲联盟委员会主席乌尔苏拉·冯德莱恩递交国书[22]。

吉滕斯坦与伊丽莎白（利比）吉滕斯坦结婚，有三个孩子和七个孙子[23]。
