This is a list of airlines of Mexico. The airline industry in Mexico began in 1921 with Compañía Mexicana de Transportación Aérea in Mexico City. The world's 4th airline ever created, later known as Mexicana, ceased operations on August 28, 2010, although there were plans to re-launch the company since 2011, but has not happened yet. Aeroméxico is currently Mexico's largest airline.
