50. George Medley, Esq., of Buxted, Friston, and Coneyburrows, all in co. Sussex; M.P. for Seaford, and afterwards for East Grinstead ; born 6 August, 1720, died without issue, 1 June, 1796. Small pastel copy (121/4 x 91/4 in.) by Lord Hawkesbury of the portrait at 2 Carlton House Terrace.
51. The Honble. Robert A. E. St.- A. Savile Foljambe, aged 5, 5th but 4th surviving son of Cecil, 4th Lord Hawkesbury, born 3 April, 1887. In pastel 24 x 20 in. By Miss Lancaster Lucas, in April, 1892.
52. James Evelyn, Esq., of Felbridge, co. Surrey, born 17 July, 1718, died 11 July, 1793. His only daughter and heir by Annabella, his wife, sister of George Medley (See No. 50), was Lady Shuckburgh-Evelyn (See No. 56). Small pastel copy (121/4 x 91/4 in.) by Lord Hawkesbury of the portrait at 2 Carlton House Terrace.

54. Sir George Augustus William Shuckburgh-Evelyn, 6th Bart., M.P. for Warwickshire, born 23 August, 1751, died 11 August, 1804. He was a celebrated mathematician and astronomer. Small pastel copy (121/4 x 91/4 in.), by Lord Hawkesbury, of the portrait at 2 Carlton House Terrace.
55. Lady Elizabeth Compton as a child. She was the only child and heiress of Charles, 7th Earl of Northampton, and was born 25 June, 1760. She afterwards married, 27 February, 1782, Lord George A. H. Cavendish, who was, 10 Sept., 1831, created Earl of Burlington, brother to William, 5th Duke of Devonshire, and she died at Compton Place, 7 April, 1835. She was grandmother of William, 7th Duke of Devonshire, of Lady Fanny Howard, and of Col. W. H. Fredk. Cavendish, and great grandmother of Mrs. Cecil Foljambe and of Lady Hawkesbury. Dressed in white, with a pink sash. Pastel 20 x 16 in. By John Russel
