马克林

馬克林，又名柯林·麥克拉斯（Colin Mackerras，1939年—），生于雪梨，是位澳大利亞漢學家。馬克林在漢學的專長是中國傳統文化，尤其是戲劇、中國少數民族研究、澳大利亞與中國關係和西方對中國的印象。

簡介

柯林·麥克拉斯生於一個天主教家庭；畢業於英國劍橋大學；1964年，首度造訪中國，留於北京外國語學校教學直至1966年。麥克拉斯於北京教學時，長子出世，同時他在北京市也親歷了文化大革命的初期。

1970年，他獲頒澳洲國立大學的博士學位，研究題目是遠東歷史。自1975年起，麥克拉斯於昆士蘭州布里斯本參與、創立了格里菲斯大學的亞洲研究學系，並持續教學、著書、遊歷、講學於各國等，最後受格里菲斯大學敦聘為榮譽教授。著名的指揮家－查爾斯·麥克拉斯是他的兄弟。
